Name: Waithaka – Meaning: “Of the Land”
Habari! I am Waithaka, which means “of the land”. I live with my mother, father and two sisters in a small village in Kenya. We have a garden, a small field with cabbages and some cattle. My friends and I enjoy dancing to traditional music which we call “Benga” that uses drums accompanied by wind and string instruments.
